Here is a quick update to this post, with a short video of the event!
We are proud to have started and maintained this annual tradition for 2 decades now. The RE/MAX Skate with Santa is a fund raiser for the Christmas Spirit Campaign, by way of a skating party on the pond.
Santa makes an appearance each year to hear the kids wish list and sends them off with a candy cane and a photo from Banff Photography. The Canmore Eagles hockey team and mascot are always present to liven things up on the ice. Our local radio station Mountain FM ensures lively music, and many local businesses such as Starbucks, Panago Pizza, Quantus Mortgage Solutions and Ambler hats are all on site donating their time and wares to raise money and make this event a festive evening.
Other loyal sponsors ensure we have funds or product to run the event such as Sobeys, Atco Gas, Cansign, Alpine Precision Tree Service, Alpine Insurance, Town of Canmore and of course, Santa Clause 
This event has become a staple of holiday cheer in Canmore, with an average turn out of about 800 people over the 3 hours.
Please bring lots of non-perishable food items, cash donations and your skates to make this a festive holiday, for everyone!
